Close...yet far away

I'm close to getting the car running, yet it seems like its years away. I have the suspension completely torn down, the rear end pulled out, and the K-member cleaned and painted. My dad and I spend a couple of hours one night cleaning the engine bay with this purple castrol stuff; its hecka nasty stuff. One of my uncles very kindly offered to take my spindles and A-arms to his work to have them bead-blasted for me; thats a couple of hours I don't have to spend grinding them with a wire wheel. lol. We finally pulled the trailer out of the back and put the LT1 on the engine stand, again from my uncle, and put the T-56 on our old Radio-Flyer wagon...I love that thing :D.

Another uncle of mine in So Cal owns a speed shop and is going to be supplying the majority of my parts; I'm really excited!

I got the old engine and tranny out a while ago. Then I started on the front suspension. The front struts are completely shot, the only thing keeping the front end up was the springs. lol. On saturday I finished tearing down the fronts suspension. Now its onto the rear; and building a kart type thing so I can move the car around w/ no suspension underneath it. I also got some 17" 2002 Camaro SS wheels and tires, used, for $380! It was one sweet deal. lol.
